Stating that it is a centuries-old tradition that continues traditionally, the imam of the mosque, Doğa Erkol, said, "Our Prophet entered the dream of Sultan Murad II and told him to build a madrasa here. Sultan Murad II took this as an order and immediately had a hadith madrasa constructed. The '1001 Hatim' tradition is initiated here for the soul of our Prophet. We continue this tradition," he said.

PHILANTHROPISTS BRING FOOD



Erkol noted that philanthropists brought food items such as sugar, salt, and pasta for those in need and left them at the mosque, stating that there was a very nice crowd and that they would continue this centuries-old tradition. He mentioned that there was a high participation in the hatim tradition today and expressed that they spread mats in the mosque garden when there was no room left inside.

Citizen Mürset Çiftçi said, "I come regularly every year. I first go to Hasan Sezai Hazretleri and then come here. I pray and read the Quran. I try to do good deeds, and I recommend it to everyone. The spirituality is very beautiful. This place is crowded like this every year," he said.
