In the Alanya district of Antalya, a chain supermarket branch was sealed for 3 days during inspections conducted by the municipal police.

According to a statement from the Alanya Municipality, the municipal police teams conducted inspections at a chain supermarket branch. During the checks, it was determined that expired and spoiled products such as bread derivatives, baby food, walnuts, Cyprus dessert, crackers, chips, and pasta sauce were found in the establishment. Legal action was initiated against the chain supermarket branch, which had its commercial activities suspended for 3 days, and it was sealed by the teams.

"PUBLIC HEALTH WAS ENDANGERED"

In the statement, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, whose views were included, reported that they continue their inspections at all food businesses in the district with the municipal police teams, stating, "In this context, an administrative fine was imposed on a business for endangering public health, and sealing was carried out. Our inspections will continue to increase, and as Alanya Municipality, we will continue to protect and safeguard the rights of our citizens. We also expect all businesses in Alanya to show the necessary sensitivity on this issue."
