It has been announced that Muhittin Böcek, a CHP member who was arrested as part of a corruption investigation and removed from his position as the Mayor of Antalya, has been hospitalized.

A critical development has occurred regarding CHP's former Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who is detained as part of the corruption and bribery investigation against the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
MUHİTTİN BÖCEK TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
Böcek was taken to the hospital from the prison where he was held. Böcek's lawyers stated, "Muhittin Böcek, the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, who is 63 years old, has numerous chronic illnesses and is required to take 22 different medications daily, has been urgently taken to the hospital tonight due to serious health issues that threaten his life."
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the "bribery" and "corruption" investigation conducted under the coordination of the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Muhittin Böcek and his former daughter-in-law Z.K. were detained on July 5, while it was determined that Böcek's son, suspect Mustafa Gökhan Böcek, was abroad.
On the same day, Muhittin Böcek was referred to the courthouse and was arrested, while his former daughter-in-law Z.K. was released under a travel ban and judicial control conditions. Following the decision, Muhittin Böcek was suspended from his duties by the Ministry of Interior.
