The civil servant who starts work today will receive how much salary?

The salary increase rates that millions of civil servants and retirees have been eagerly awaiting have been announced. The lowest civil servant salary, including family assistance payments, has risen from 39,177 lira to 43,726 lira, while the lowest civil servant pension has increased from 17,587 lira to 19,617 lira.

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data for December 2024, the monthly inflation rate was 1.03%, while the annual inflation rate reached 44.38%. Based on this data, a salary increase of 11.54% was made for civil servants and civil servant retirees, while a 15.75% increase was applied for SSK and Bağkur retirees.

FIRST SALARY INCREASES WILL BE DEPOSITED IN JANUARY

The lowest civil servant salary, including family assistance payment, increased from 39,177 TL to 43,726 TL, and the lowest civil servant pension rose from 17,587 TL to 19,617 TL. Salary calculations do not include regional payments, extra lessons and proxy fees, revolving fund payments, and foreign language compensation, while family and child assistance payments were added. In calculating the family and child assistance payment, a non-working spouse and 2 children (0-6 age group and others) were taken into account. Thus, as of January 3, 2025, the net amount that a person starting their civil service will receive is calculated to be 45,555 TL.

With the announcement of the salary increase rates, civil servants will be able to receive their new salaries within this month.
