29-year-old Mutlu Kılınç was shot in the chest and killed by his 23-year-old friend Furkan Keskin with a hunting rifle in Muğla. In his statement, Keskin said, "Z.Z. told me that Mutlu was with my stepmother. Mutlu came on a motorcycle, and Z.Z. and O.G. started running towards me. I fired the hunting rifle to defend myself." Keskin and the other two suspects were referred to the courthouse.
In Ortaca district of Muğla, Mutlu Kılınç was shot and killed by his friend Furkan Keskin with a hunting rifle. The detail of "stepmother" drew attention as the suspects were referred to the courthouse.
"HE SAID HE WAS WITH MY STEPMOTHER"
The incident occurred yesterday around 22:00 in Beşköprü neighborhood of Ortaca. The people in the vicinity who heard the gunshot reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification. Mutlu Kılınç, who was determined to be shot in the right chest with a hunting rifle by health personnel, died at Ortaca State Hospital where he was taken.
The Security Bureau teams determined that the suspect who fled from the scene was Furkan Keskin. Keskin, who was caught with an unlicensed shotgun, said in his statement to the police, "Z.Z. told me that Mutlu was with my stepmother. Upon this, I got angry and called Mutlu to come to me. Mutlu, who came on a motorcycle, started running towards me with Z.Z. and O.G. I fired the hunting rifle to defend myself and saw that Mutlu was injured. I got scared and ran away from the scene."
After Furkan Keskin's statement, Z.Z. and O.G. were also taken into custody. After the procedures at the police station, the 3 suspects were referred to the courthouse.
