A 76-year-old couple in Ordu who ate mushrooms they gathered from nature fell ill and were hospitalized. As their condition worsened, they were transferred to Fatsa State Hospital, where their treatment continues.
An elderly couple was poisoned after eating mushrooms they collected from nature in the Korgan district of Ordu. The husband and wife, found unconscious by their neighbors at home, were admitted to intensive care after their condition worsened.
POISONED BY MUSHROOMS THEY COLLECTED
The incident occurred in the Çitlice neighborhood of the Korgan district. According to the information obtained, 76-year-old Selver Çağman and his wife Zekiye Çağman became ill shortly after eating mushrooms they had collected from nature. When the neighbors could not reach the elderly couple, they entered the house and found the elderly man and woman lying motionless on the floor.
REFERRED AFTER THEIR CONDITION WORSENED
Upon notification, health teams were quickly dispatched to the address. The Çağman couple, who received initial intervention at the scene, were taken to Korgan State Hospital by ambulance.
After their initial treatment there, the elderly couple, whose condition was determined to be critical, were referred to Fatsa State Hospital for equipped intervention and taken under treatment in the intensive care unit. It was learned that the couple's life-threatening condition continues.
