The consumer confidence index increased by 3% on a monthly basis in October, rising to 80.6. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the consumer confidence index data for October. Accordingly, the consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the consumer trend survey conducted in cooperation with TÜİK and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, was 78.2 in September and increased by 3% to 80.6 in October. CONSUMER CONFIDENCE AT A 16-MONTH HIGHIn the current period, the household's financial situation index decreased from 64.8 last month to 64.7 in October, a decline of 0.2%. The household's financial situation expectation index for the next 12 months was 77.4 in September and rose by 6.1% to 82.1 this month. The general economic situation expectation index for the next 12 months, which was 74.5 in September, increased by 1.1% to 75.3 this month. The index for the intention to spend on durable consumer goods in the next 12 months was calculated as 100.1 in October, up by 4.1% from 96.2 in September.
