The picnic enjoyment of the Kayaaslan couple at Dımbazlar Pond in Denizli ended in tragedy. While İbrahim Kayaaslan's lifeless body was retrieved from the water, his wife Saime Kayaaslan, who entered the water to save him, faced the danger of drowning.
Saime and İbrahim Kayaaslan (58), a couple living in the Sarıgöl district of Manisa, went to Dımbazlar Pond in Buldan, Denizli, for a picnic yesterday. While his wife was preparing the food, İbrahim Kayaaslan entered the water to cool off and disappeared from sight after a while due to the muddy water.
HE NEARLY DROWNED WHILE TRYING TO SAVE HIS WIFE
Seeing that her husband was missing, Samime Kayaaslan also jumped into the water to find him. Amateur fishermen who rescued the woman just before she drowned reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Kayaaslan, who was taken to Buldan State Hospital, was treated.
HIS LIFLESS BODY WAS REMOVED FROM THE WATER
Upon notification, a large number of gendarmerie, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The teams that arrived in the region began searching for İbrahim Kayaaslan. After 4 hours of search efforts by underwater search and rescue divers and fire brigade teams, the lifeless body of İbrahim Kayaaslan was found and removed from the pond.
AN AUTOPSY WILL BE PERFORMED
The death of İbrahim Kayaaslan plunged his relatives into mourning. His body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy. It was learned that his wife, who was taken to Buldan State Hospital, continued to receive treatment.
