The terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) campus in Kahramankazan has shocked Turkey. On social media, institutions, organizations, and individual users shared messages of support.

The address for those taking support a step further became the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and the Defense Industry Support Fund. Donations began to be made to the accounts of these two institutions to strengthen Turkey's defense industry.

The District Governor of Sultandağı, Hacı Demirci, made a call for donations to those who would send flowers due to his new appointment.

Hacı Demirci has started his duties as the District Governor of Sultandağı. In a statement he made after taking office, Demirci requested that no flowers be sent to congratulate him. He continued his statement with the following words: "I express my gratitude to our valuable citizens who are considering sending flowers due to my appointment as the District Governor of Sultandağı, and I kindly request them to make donations to the specified account number of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation to support our country's defense industry efforts instead of sending flowers."

SAHA EXPO AREA DECORATED WITH TURKISH FLAGS

The third day of SAHA EXPO, organized under the auspices of the Presidency by SAHA Istanbul, the largest industrial cluster in Turkey and Europe, supported by 6 ministries and the Presidency of Defense Industries, and with Anadolu Agency (AA) as the global communication partner, began under the shadow of the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.

In addition to the existing security measures, security precautions were increased at the entrance of the fair area, and it was decided that press members without accreditation would not be allowed into the fair.

To demonstrate determination in the face of the heinous attack on TUSAŞ and to convey condolences, a memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 in front of the TUSAŞ stand. It is expected that the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and the Chairman of the Board of SAHA Istanbul, Haluk Bayraktar, will also participate in the ceremony.

THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY UNITED AS ONE

To emphasize unity and solidarity, the Turkish flag was projected on all LED screens in the fair area. More than 1,478 companies from over 120 countries, along with 178 foreign purchasing delegations and 312 official delegations, including 25 at the ministerial level, are expected to participate in the fair, where leading companies in the defense industry also reacted to the attack.

Leading companies such as the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), TÜBİTAK, ASELSAN, BAYKAR, Türksat, HAVELSAN, ROKETSAN, Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), OTOKAR, Nurol, STM, FNSS, ULAK Communication, and SARSILMAZ used visuals of the Turkish flag on the LED screens at their stands.

BMC's visual also included the statement, "We condemn the treacherous terrorist attack on TUSAŞ, and we want everyone to know that this despicable attack targeting our defense industry will never achieve its goal and will not deter us. We wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and a speedy recovery to our veterans."
