Koçyiğit stated that the hand they extended for peace is being attempted to be broken, saying, "The trustee practices have once again shown us that the government does not want a solution; instead, it feeds on hopelessness instead of solutions, on war instead of peace, and on violence. However, the peoples of Turkey and the Kurdish people want peace. The peoples of Turkey have their eyes and ears glued to television programs, eagerly waiting for messages about peace, solutions, and dialogue; while today we see that the possibility of peace is once again being attempted to be destroyed by the hand of the government."

"WE WILL BE IN THE FIELDS AND SQUARES WITH OUR PEOPLE"

Koçyiğit, stating that the Co-Chairs of her party are in Istanbul for the General Assembly of the Peoples' Democratic Congress, said, "They set off towards Batman immediately after receiving the news of the trustees. After Batman, they will proceed to Mardin. Tomorrow, we will hold our group meeting at 1:00 PM in Mardin. I want to emphasize that we will not participate in the General Assembly activities, the Planning and Budget Commission, or any commission work this week. Together with all our parliamentary friends, MYK members, Party Council members, provincial and district organizations, co-mayors, and all our elected representatives, we will be in the fields and squares with our people."
