CHP's candidate Güngör Geçer was elected as the Deputy Mayor of Adana Metropolitan Municipality.
After the election, Adana Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Güngör Geçer spoke in the council. Geçer stated, "We hope that at the end of a transparent and fair judicial process, Karalar and all our mayors will return to their duties. We are all witnesses to the values that Zeydan Karalar has brought to this city and the understanding of populist municipalism. Regardless of our political views, we know that our common ground is Adana. We must ensure consensus, dialogue, and common sense in our council so that our city does not fall behind in services and our people do not suffer. As long as we continue this duty, I would like to declare that we will work with all our strength to continue the services that benefit the public from where Zeydan Karalar left off without interruption. There should be no doubt that we will maintain a management approach that befits Adana, together with all the dynamics of the city, especially our council members, without deviating from the principles of transparency, participation, and justice. I hope that Zeydan Karalar will return to us as soon as possible," he said.
