In the Çivril district of Denizli, 6 of 8 suspects detained in connection with an armed clash that broke out between two neighboring families and injured 5 people, one of them a child, have been arrested.
In Hamam Neighborhood of the Çivril district of Denizli, on Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karahasan Street, an argument between two neighboring families that arose due to a long-standing "bride taking and giving" feud quickly turned into an armed conflict. In the incident that caused moments of terror in the neighborhood, 15-year-old E.C.D., along with M.T., S.D., T.D., C.D., and B.D., were injured.
After the first intervention by medical teams dispatched to the scene, it was reported that the health conditions of the injured, who were taken to the hospital by ambulances, were good.
FLEEING SUSPECTS WERE CAUGHT IN A SHORT TIME
After the incident, law enforcement forces launched a large-scale operation to capture the suspects who, upon seeing police teams arrive, tried to cover their tracks. As a result of meticulously conducted field and follow-up efforts, 8 suspects determined to have been involved in the incident were caught red-handed and taken into custody.
6 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON
The 8 suspects, whose interrogation and procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to Çivril Courthouse under tight security measures. Of the suspects brought before the judge, 6 were arrested and sent to prison, while judicial proceedings were applied to 2 suspects.
