The draw for the 4th qualifying round of the Ziraat Turkish Cup was held with a ceremony at the TFF Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities.
TFF 2nd Vice President, Executive Board Member, and Board Member Responsible for Legal and Administrative Affairs Fuat Göktaş; Board Member Responsible for the 2nd League, 3rd League, and Amateur Leagues Metin Akyüz; club representatives; and members of the press attended the draw ceremony at Orhan Saka Conference Hall.
“IT OFFERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO WRITE THEIR OWN SUCCESS STORY” Fuat Göktaş, who delivered the opening speech of the draw, said, “This year we are holding the 67th season of the Ziraat Turkish Cup, where competition and excitement have increased with each passing season. We express our gratitude to our footballers, technical teams, club managers, and the fans who are the true owners of football, who have competed throughout our cup’s history to date and contributed to the brand value of the organization, as well as to all football stakeholders who have devoted effort to this organization. While the Ziraat Turkish Cup offers our clubs the opportunity to participate in the UEFA Europa League and compete in the Turkcell Super Cup, it also gives every team and every footballer the chance to write their own success story. The tradition will not change this season. Our teams and footballers will take their place in football history with their efforts and the results they achieve. In the Turkish Cup, which embraces Turkey and brings together the football culture in all our country’s cities and districts in a single organization, we are gradually reaching the most difficult rounds. The 4th qualifying round will include 36 teams that won their 3rd qualifying round matches, as well as 7 teams from the Trendyol Super League and 11 teams from the Trendyol 1st League. A total of 54 teams will compete to advance to the 5th qualifying round. At the end of the season, a total of 146 teams will have taken part in the cup. We thank all the clubs participating in the cup for their contributions to our football and to the brand value of the cup,” he said.
