COULD NOT ESCAPE THE BURNING VEHICLE
The accident occurred near Başağaç village at the Sandıklı district exit. According to available information, the car driven by M.T. (41) hit the barriers in the median on the Afyonkarahisar-Antalya highway near Başağaç village and then caught fire. The driver, unable to escape the burning vehicle, died at the scene, while a person named G.Ç. was injured.
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE LAUNCHED INVESTIGATION
Following the accident, health, police, gendarmerie, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The fire was extinguished after intervention by the fire department, and the vehicle was reduced to scrap. After the examination, M.T.'s body was taken to the morgue. An investigation into the incident was launched by the prosecutor's office.
