IT WAS DETERMINED THAT HE CRASHED AT 229 KILOMETERS PER HOUR

The speed of the car driven by İsmail Andaç was determined by the Traffic Inspection Branch of the Konya Police Department from the camera recordings at the intersection, due to the absence of brake marks. The teams found that the distance from the moment Andaç's car entered the camera angle to the moment it hit Mevlüt Külcü's vehicle was 207 meters, and that the car covered this distance in 3.5 seconds. Based on this data, it was calculated that the speed of the vehicle driven by Andaç was 229 kilometers per hour. It was also determined that Andaç had violated the red light twice just before the accident.
