A motorcycle rider without a helmet, who fled from a police check in Sancaktepe, was caught after a chase. The driver, whose documents were requested, attacked the police with punches along with his family. In the incident, where one police officer's nose was broken, the suspects were released by the court after being taken into custody.
Security camera footage has emerged showing the moments when the driver, who fled from the police inspection for riding a motorcycle without a helmet in Sancaktepe, attacked the police with his family.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 24, around 12:30 PM in the Meclis neighborhood. According to the information obtained, while the police were conducting inspections on the street, they signaled Eren G., who was riding a motorcycle without a helmet, to stop. When the driver ignored the warnings and began to flee, the police teams pursued him. After a chase that lasted for minutes, the driver Eren G. was caught while trying to escape on foot after getting off the motorcycle at the entrance of a site.
THEY ATTACKED THE POLICE AND BROKE HIS NOSE
While the documents were requested, the father of the driver Eren G., Etem G., his brother Yunus Emre G., and his mother Gülhan G. attacked the police with punches. During the scuffle, one police officer's nose was broken, and a reinforcement police team was dispatched to the scene. Four suspects, who were neutralized, were taken into custody. It was revealed that the driver Eren G. had previously fled from police inspections with four motorcycles registered under his mother's name, and he had been fined administratively 52 times in Sancaktepe and Çekmeköy.

The four suspects, whose statements were taken at the police station, were referred to the courthouse. The suspects brought before the court were released under judicial control. Meanwhile, security camera footage showing the moments when the suspects attacked the police has emerged. The footage shows Eren G. and three suspects attacking the police at the entrance of the site. The moments when the suspects were taken into custody at the scene, where reinforcement police teams were dispatched, are also captured in the footage.
