This investment aims to accelerate the transition of air taxis to commercial production and support certification processes. FIRST FLIGHT IN 2025Joby's air taxi was publicly introduced at Grand Central Terminal in New York in partnership with Delta and Uber. However, the necessary approvals from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for it to operate in the U.S. have not yet been completed. The company plans to start operations in Dubai in 2025. Joby Aviation is establishing new facilities in California to increase its production capacity and aims to expand its operations globally.
