The entertainment venue where three women were beaten in Beyoğlu has been sealed by the municipal police.

The entertainment venue in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, which came to the agenda with violence against women, has been sealed by the Beyoğlu Municipality police teams.

The Beyoğlu Municipality Police Department teams took action after the emergence of images of violence and assault against three women in an entertainment venue in Cihangir.

ESTABLISHMENT SEALED

After the necessary investigations, the Beyoğlu Municipality police teams, together with the security forces, went to the establishment and sealed it due to security reasons and the unlicensed section inside the building.

"BEYOĞLU WILL REMAIN AS A DISTRICT WHERE NO ONE WILL SAY 'WHAT WERE YOU DOING THERE AT THAT TIME?'"

Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, who made a statement on the issue from his social media account, said, "The establishment in question, which includes an unlicensed SPA, which has come to the agenda in the public opinion, has been sealed by our municipal police officers due to security reasons in accordance with the letter received from the security forces. Beyoğlu will remain as a district where women can safely walk at any time, and no one will say 'What were you doing there at that time?' We will not allow the disruption of the peace and security environment, we will not show tolerance. We thank our sensitive and reactive tradesmen, women who do not give up their rights, the security forces who capture the criminals and deliver them to justice, and all our neighbors who support Beyoğlu."

MINISTER YERLİKAYA DID NOT REMAIN SILENT

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, in his social media post during the day regarding the issue, used the expression "We have taken the necessary action. We will not forgive anyone who attempts violence against women! If anyone dares to do so, they will be held accountable before the law."

WHAT HAPPENED?

A fight broke out between female customers A.I.K, H.E, and Y.T. and the employees of the entertainment venue in Ömer Avni Neighborhood, Beyoğlu. In the investigations conducted regarding the fight, the suspects M.M.D. and V.T., who were identified as the ones who assaulted the women in the footage, were detained yesterday. After the procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the judicial authorities on charges of "intentional injury" and "sexual harassment."
