The evacuation of Turkish citizens in Lebanon, where Israel is bombing, begins tomorrow.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the evacuation of Turkish citizens applying to leave Lebanon, which is being bombarded by Israel, will take place by sea tomorrow. It is expected that two ships belonging to the Naval Forces will set sail for Beirut today.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army, which has turned Gaza into a bloodbath and killed tens of thousands of Palestinians, recently announced that it has launched a ground operation in Lebanon.

TURKEY TAKES ACTION

Turkey has taken action for Turkish citizens in Lebanon, where Israel has been bombarding for days. In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was expressed that the evacuation of Turkish citizens who have applied to leave the country will be carried out by sea tomorrow.

"OUR SHIPS HAVE A TOTAL CAPACITY OF 2,000 PASSENGERS"

The statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is as follows: "The evacuation of our citizens who have applied to leave Lebanon will take place tomorrow (October 9). In this context, it is anticipated that two of our naval vessels will set sail for Beirut today. Our ships have a total capacity of approximately 2,000 passengers."

EVACUATION OPERATIONS MAY CONTINUE IN THE FOLLOWING DAYS

Details regarding the evacuation process will be shared with our citizens who have contacted our Consulate Call Center until today. If necessary, evacuation operations will continue in the following days.

Preparations have been completed to meet any needs of our citizens upon their arrival in our country. The ships assigned for evacuation will also transport our humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
