PRICE DIFFERENCES DRAW ATTENTIONThe Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in Elazig conducted the tender for the construction of 1,200 light steel village houses through the 21/B (Negotiation) method. The price differences in the housing tenders drew attention. While the most suitable offer for the construction of 200 houses was 457,654,321 Turkish Lira, significant differences were observed among the offers for the construction of 300 houses. In one tender, the most suitable offer for 300 houses was 913,191,095 Turkish Lira, while in another tender, this amount was 909,800,000 Turkish Lira. This situation led to significant differences in terms of unit prices. "WILL CAUSE A LOSS OF 448 MILLION"CHP Elazig Deputy Gursel Erol stated in his statement yesterday, "While one unit of Light Steel houses costs 2,288,000 Turkish Lira in a competitive job, another house with the same qualifications is auctioned for 3,044,000 Turkish Lira. The difference between them is approximately 756,000 Turkish Lira per house. The total amount in the tender for 300 houses is 226 million Turkish Lira. While one citizen who wants to own a house will pay 3,044,000 Turkish Lira, another citizen will own a house for 2,288,000 Turkish Lira, and the state will suffer a loss of approximately 448 million from its budget." TENDERS CANCELED AFTER REACTIONSDecisions to cancel the tenders related to the reactions were made. It was learned that the tender for the construction of 300 light steel houses worth 921,966,753 Turkish Lira, which was awarded to Meridyen Konut Muhendislik and Baylaz Insaat, and the tender for the construction of 300 light steel houses worth 924,450,759 Turkish Lira, which was awarded to Dicle Proje Insaat, were canceled due to high prices.
