A DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR THE MEETING

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced when the eagerly awaited Minimum Wage Determination Commission meetings will take place. Işıkhan stated that the commission will meet in the first or second week of December.

Minister Işıkhan said, "We will conduct the process as we did last year. We will meet with the parties in the first week or the second week of December; we are ready. Once the minimum wage schedule is clear, we will explain the process."

IT WILL MEET 4 TIMES

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission meets four times as required by law to determine the new minimum wage.

WORKERS, EMPLOYERS, AND GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES WILL COME TOGETHER

The minimum wage is determined by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which consists of 15 members, with 5 representatives each from workers, employers, and the government, as required by law. The commission meets four times to determine the new minimum wage. After the first meeting at the Ministry, the Commission holds its final meeting again at the ministry after meetings hosted by workers and employers.

The commission, chaired by one of the members designated by the ministry, convenes with the participation of at least 10 members and makes decisions by majority vote. In the event of a tie, the side of the president is considered to have the majority.
