Ergin A., who was arrested on allegations of sexually abusing his two daughters after it was revealed that his 17-year-old daughter was 18 weeks pregnant in Zonguldak, cut off his genital organ in prison. After being taken to the hospital and having his genital organ reattached, Ergin A. was sent back to prison after receiving treatment.
In Zonguldak, Ergin A. (45), who was arrested on allegations of sexually abusing his 15 and 17-year-old daughters after it was revealed that one of them was 18 weeks pregnant, cut off his genital organ in prison. After his genital organ was reattached at the hospital, Ergin A. was sent back to prison after treatment.
The incident came to light on July 18, after it was determined that Ergin A.'s 17-year-old daughter was 18 weeks pregnant during her examination at the Women's and Children's Hospital. The girl stated in her testimony that her father, Ergin A., had been sexually abusing her for 2-3 years. The 15-year-old daughter of Ergin A. also told the gendarmerie that her father had sexually abused her as well. After the testimonies of his two daughters, Ergin A. was detained at his house in the village by the gendarmerie, and he was arrested and sent to prison after his appearance in court.
"I DIDN'T HARM ANYONE"
Ergin A., who stayed at Zonguldak M Type Closed Prison for about a week, cut off his genital organ with a cutting tool on July 25. After the initial intervention of the healthcare team that came to the prison, Ergin A. and his severed genital organ were taken to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital.
It was learned that in his statement to the gendarmerie at the hospital, Ergin A. said that he cut off his own organ and that he didn't harm anyone. Ergin A., who has a visual impairment in one eye from the past, was discharged after his genital organ was reattached. Ergin A. was sent back to prison again. Meanwhile, the children were taken under state protection, and the ongoing legal process regarding the incident continues.
