On November 15th, in the Alaşehir district of Manisa, the number of martyrs rose to two after one police officer was martyred and another was seriously injured in an accident. Police officer Hatice Ünal, who had been fighting for her life in the hospital for 14 days, lost her battle and became a martyr.
In the Alaşehir district of Manisa, traffic police officer Ali Barut (34), who was in a team vehicle that crashed into a parked truck from behind, was martyred in the accident, and the injured driver, traffic police officer Hatice Ünal (24), also succumbed to her injuries in the hospital where she was being treated.
CRASHED INTO THE TRUCK FROM BEHIND
The accident occurred on November 15 at around 07:30 on the Süleyman Demirel Boulevard section of the Alaşehir-Sarıgöl highway. The team vehicle with license plate 45 A 59624, driven by traffic police officer Hatice Ünal, who was on duty at the Regional Traffic Inspection Station, crashed into the trailer of the truck with license plate 45 AIJ 250, which was parked by the roadside. Officer Ali Barut, who was in the vehicle that went under the trailer, was martyred, while Hatice Ünal was injured. Upon the notification of those nearby, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Hatice Ünal was taken to Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital by ambulance. The martyred officer, who was married and a father of two, was buried in the ceremony held in the Kapancı neighborhood of Salihli after a ceremony at the Alaşehir Police Department.

LOST THE FIGHT FOR LIFE AFTER 14 DAYS
Hatice Ünal, who was being treated in the hospital, passed away today, 14 days after the incident. It was learned that the martyred Hatice Ünal would be buried in the Kavak neighborhood cemetery of Yapraklı district in Çankırı.
