The Presidency Communication Directorate's Disinformation Combat Center (DCC) has announced that the images shared on some social media accounts claiming to belong to a person infected with the "M flower virus" contain manipulation.

In the statement made from the DCC's social media account, it was stated that the mentioned photograph shows a man who was hit by pellets from a hunting rifle during the protests in Iran in 2022. It was emphasized that the photograph has no connection with the M flower disease and that baseless allegations should not be trusted.
