The so-called general commander of the YPG/PKK terrorist organization, Ferhat Abdi Şahin, known by the code name "Mazlum Kobani," spoke about PKK leader Öcalan's call for disarmament. Kobani stated, "Our stance is positive. This is a matter of peace." He mentioned that Öcalan had sent them a message, but that it was not related to them. Kobani said, "Mr. Öcalan's call was for the PKK. It was not directly for us."
After the meeting of the DEM Party delegation in İmralı, the call of the PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan was read. Öcalan called on the organization to lay down arms, stating, "The theory, program, strategy, and tactics have been heavily influenced by the reality of the real-socialist system of the century. The collapse of real socialism in the 1990s due to internal reasons and the resolution of identity denial in the country, along with the developments in freedom of expression, have led to the meaninglessness and excessive repetition of the PKK. Therefore, it has completed its life like its counterparts and made its dissolution necessary."
FIRST COMMENT FROM YPG ON ÖCALAN'S CALL: OUR POSITION IS POSITIVE
The first comment on Öcalan's call came from the so-called commander of the YPG/PKK terrorist organization, the terrorist Ferhat Abdi Şahin, codenamed "Mazlum Kobani." Speaking to Rudaw, Şahin said, "Our position is positive. This is a matter of peace."
"ÖCALAN'S MESSAGE WAS NOT DIRECTLY TO US"
Abdi continued his remarks as follows: "The PKK leader had sent us a message to express his views, and we look at it positively. However, the message was not about us. Mr. Öcalan's call was for the PKK, for the PKK guerrillas. It was not directly for our region. He sent the message to us as well as to Southern Kurdistan and everywhere else."
