AK Party Spokesman Ömer Çelik announced during a live broadcast that an investigation has been launched regarding the armed guards of KDP President Mesut Barzani during his visit to the Cizre district of Şırnak. Commenting on the footage, Çelik described it as "unpleasant" and stated, "Barzani has no active duty. Turkey has the power to protect him." Furthermore, following Çelik's remarks, the Ministry of Interior also announced that an examination related to the footage has been initiated and that two inspectors have been assigned to the matter.
AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik answered questions regarding the agenda on Habertürk. Çelik announced that an investigation has been launched regarding the armed bodyguards of the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, during his visit to the Cizre district of Şırnak.
Çelik stated, "An unpleasant image. The Ministry of Interior has launched an investigation regarding the situation. Barzani has no active duty. Turkey has the power to protect him," he said. Responding to the remarks directed at Bahçeli in a statement from Barzani's office, Çelik said, "The person who made this statement is the one who uses chivalrous and racist rhetoric. This is unacceptable, and this statement needs to be corrected."
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR Following Ömer Çelik's statements, the Ministry of Interior announced that an investigation has been initiated regarding the images and that two inspectors have been assigned to the matter.

TERROR-FREE TURKEY Ömer Çelik stated that Turkey has a long struggle against terrorism, noting that various efforts were made to persuade the terrorist organization to lay down its arms even before the AK Party came to power. "There have been various attempts at different times. It happened during the time of the late Özal, and there are mentions of the late Erbakan's initiatives. During the period when our President was Prime Minister, it was realized again in the form of a resolution process. It has been seen that during the tutelage period, which is characterized by rejection, denial, and assimilation policies, the approach that emerged by increasing Turkey's capacity regarding this issue has been observed," he said. Referring to the commission's visit to İmralı, Çelik stated, "If someone is calling for the end of terrorism and taking the initiative for the cessation of terrorism, there can be nothing more natural than the commission evaluating this." We see activities from our allies that either remain neutral or aim to hinder the disarmament process. We had captured a terrorist. This terrorist had been involved with ISIS years ago, came out, and operated within the PKK terrorist organization while also working for the intelligence of a Western state. The Republic of Turkey sees all of this. We are constantly on the ground.
COMMISSION'S VISIT TO İMRALI “There are commissions in the Grand National Assembly that directly visit prisons. Members of the Grand National Assembly meet with convicts for various reasons, whether they are terrorists or in other areas. This is done out of necessity. While such a matter is being conducted, the will of the commission has manifested. Ultimately, this meeting has taken place. If someone is calling for the end of terrorism and taking the initiative for the cessation of terrorism, there can be nothing more natural than the commission evaluating this. It is constantly said that the AK Party stays away. However, our President and our party leader make closed speeches at every MYK and MKYK opening. For a long time, the first agenda will be what will be done regarding a terror-free Turkey.

The office spokesperson has used expressions like racist and chauvinist. The person who made the main statement, whoever it is, has used a racist and chauvinist language. That statement is directly disrespectful to Mr. Bahçeli.
This is unacceptable and must be corrected. The entire political life that has worked for a terrorism-free zone has mobilized its strength for this matter. The message given by Mr. Bahçeli is related to unpleasant images. There is no sentence regarding Mr. Barzani's arrival. The expressions from the office being used against Mr. Bahçeli is absolutely unacceptable. This language has become a language that will harm the process of a terrorism-free zone.
