In the Gevaş district of Van, a man identified as M.D., who is said to be married, kidnapped a 20-year-old young woman. Angered by this situation, the young woman's relatives captured and assaulted M.D. The family cut off both of the man's ears after torturing him.
The incident that started with an allegation of forbidden love in the Gevaş district of Van ended in bloodshed.
According to the news from Van65haber.com, 45-year-old M.D. disappeared with a 20-year-old young woman. When the young woman's family learned of the situation, they set a trap by calling M.D. to a meeting point.
It is alleged that M.D., who was kidnapped here, was beaten and tortured. The attackers cut off both of M.D.'s ears. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of the surrounding people. Injured M.D. was taken to Van Regional Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that the severed ears were reattached during the surgical intervention.

After the incident, M.D.'s relatives broke their silence. In a statement, M.D.'s uncle said, "There is no kidnapping; the young woman came of her own free will. M.D. divorced his wife before and is currently married to this woman. We went to her family and asked for her officially, but they did not give her. The couple came together by their own decision."
The family also confirmed the allegations of the attack, stating, "M.D. was attacked by the young woman's family. During this time, he suffered serious damage to his ear. His health condition is good, and he is receiving treatment in the hospital."
