In the Merkezefendi district of Denizli, a forest fire that started on October 24 is being fought by 6 helicopters, 1023 personnel, 12 first response vehicles, 22 construction machines, and 67 water tankers, all under the direction of the General Directorate of Forestry. Due to the fire's continued impact in areas with an altitude of over a thousand meters, efforts are being made to combat the challenging terrain conditions. While helicopters are dropping water on the fire in areas where they can approach steep slopes, ground teams are trying to create firebreaks in the spread area of the fire using construction machinery and hand tools. In some areas, teams are making long walks to reach the flames due to the lack of roads. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINEDMany gendarmerie and municipal personnel, as well as volunteers from non-governmental organizations, are participating in the efforts to prevent the fire from advancing towards the Çakıroluk area in the Tavas district. It has been stated that there is no threat to residential areas from the fire. Additionally, the General Director of Forestry, Bekir Karacabey, visited the city to gather information about the fire from the relevant authorities. An intervention was initiated for the fire that broke out on October 24 in the forested area at the summit of Başkarcı Mountain for an undetermined reason.
