In the first 7 months of 2025, more than 2.9 million vehicles changed hands in the second-hand car market. Nearly half of the sales occurred in the C segment, while the 4 models that consumers preferred the most were the Fiat Egea, Renault Clio, Toyota Corolla, and Nissan Qashqai. In SUV sales, the Nissan Qashqai took the top spot.

More than 2.9 million vehicles changed hands in the second-hand car market between January and July. Nearly half of the sales occurred in the C segment, with the leading brands in the market being Renault, Volkswagen, and Fiat.

MOST PREFERRED MODELS

Among the models that consumers preferred the most, Fiat Egea, Renault Clio, Toyota Corolla, and Nissan Qashqai ranked at the top.

MODELS THAT STAND OUT BY SEGMENT

C Segment: 50.8% of total sales occurred in this group. The standout models were Fiat Egea, Renault Megane, Toyota Corolla, and Ford Focus.

B Segment: This segment accounted for 29.2% of sales. The most preferred models were Renault Clio, Hyundai i20, and Volkswagen Polo.

D Segment: It held a share of 12.7%. The standout models in this segment were Volkswagen Passat, BMW 3 Series, and Skoda Superb.

C segment vehicles are particularly preferred by families due to their spacious interiors and fuel efficiency, while comfort and prestige were prioritized in the D segment.

INCREASING SUV SALES

There was an increase in demand in the SUV category. In this segment, Nissan Qashqai ranked at the top, followed by Dacia Duster, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Peugeot 3008.
