With the regulatory change made for the 2025-2026 academic year at the Police Academy, the graduation process for 10,000 police candidates has been accelerated. According to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, the training period in POMEMs has been reduced to 8 months, while in vocational schools it has been shortened to 21 weeks.

This year, the graduation date for 10,000 police candidates at the Police Academy has been moved forward. The regulation change has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect.

GRADUATION CALENDAR MOVED FORWARD

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced in a previous statement that the graduations planned for September would be moved to the beginning of June. With the regulation made, this decision has been formalized.

REGULATION CHANGE PUBLISHED

According to the added article to the Police Vocational Training Centers Education-Teaching Regulation, the training period for the 2025-2026 academic year will be a total of eight months. This regulation shortens the graduation process for police candidates. Additionally, with another change made in the same regulation, the education-teaching period in higher education institutions has been set at 21 weeks for students graduating in 2025-2026.
