In a chain accident involving 4 vehicles in the district of Tarsus in Mersin, 10 people lost their lives, while the identities of the deceased have been determined and 9 of the bodies have been sent to their hometowns. 4 VEHICLES INVOLVED IN CHAIN ACCIDENTThe accident occurred yesterday evening on the Mersin-Adana Highway in the Yenice Kütüklü area of Tarsus. According to the information received, the passenger bus with the license plate number 34 SD 8821, coming from Adana, skidded in rainy weather, overturned, and crossed to the opposite lane, causing a chain accident involving 4 vehicles, including a car, a pickup truck, and a truck. 10 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES, 39 PEOPLE INJUREDMany police, gendarmerie, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. 10 people lost their lives in the accident, and 39 people were injured. The 39 injured individuals were transported to hospitals in Adana and Mersin by ambulances sent to the scene. The bodies were taken to the morgue of Tarsus State Hospital. IDENTITIES OF THE DECEASED DETERMINEDThe identities of the 10 people who died in the accident have been determined. The deceased individuals are identified as Serhat Taraman, Elif Taraman, İpek Taraman, Ozan Kılıç, Birsen Çiftsüren, Sultan Acet, Taha Acet, Mehmet Kaplan, Halil Şimşek, and Ayla Çelik Teymen. It was reported that the body of Ayla Çelik Teymen is still at the hospital, while the body of Halil Şimşek was sent to Adana and the bodies of the other 8 individuals were sent to Diyarbakır. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
