The images circulating on social media prompted the Istanbul Police to take action: A foreign national will be deported.

A foreign national driver who shared his journey in a vehicle with flashing lights on social media was detained. After completing the procedures at the police station, O.Y. was handed over to the Provincial Migration Administration to be sent back to his country.

JET INVESTIGATION FROM ISTANBUL POLICE

The Istanbul police launched an investigation regarding the posts made on social media platforms under the title "A foreign national driving a vehicle with flashing lights in Istanbul." It was determined that the driver of the identified vehicle with flashing lights was O.Y.

HANDED OVER TO THE MIGRATION ADMINISTRATION

O.Y., who was detained on the charge of 'Disturbing Public Order,' was handed over to the Provincial Migration Administration to be sent back to his country after the procedures at the police station.

In a statement made by the Istanbul Police, the following expressions were used: In the examinations regarding the images shared under the title "A foreign national driving a vehicle with flashing lights in Istanbul" on some social media platforms; it was determined that a vehicle was traveling in traffic using a flashing light system, and the driver of the vehicle, identified through license plate information, was captured at his residence on 27.10.2024. After the completion of administrative procedures regarding the detained individual for the charge of "Disturbing Public Order," he was handed over to the Provincial Migration Administration on 28.10.2024 for the completion of deportation procedures.
