The ISIS bomber was captured in Istanbul.

According to the information obtained, a critical operation was carried out against the terrorist organization ISIS three days ago. The Istanbul Police Department's Intelligence Branch and Counter-Terrorism Unit (TEM), which received intelligence about the presence of ISIS-linked elements in the city, reached the information that a terrorist named Rami H. (34), identified as a bomb maker for the organization, was in Istanbul.

HE PARTICIPATED IN BOMB-MAKING STAGES IN ISIS

The mentioned organization member was closely monitored by security and intelligence units and was tracked step by step. Following technical and physical surveillance, on October 3, an operation was carried out in which ISIS's bomb expert was captured and taken into custody. It was assessed that the captured cell member was active in connection with armed terrorist organizations in conflict zones and was seeking to carry out actions in Istanbul. It was reported that Rami H. participated in bomb-making stages within ISIS, and it was determined that he crossed into Turkey from the Kamışlı region in northern Syria.

A VIDEO EXPLAINING BOMB MAKING EMERGED

After being captured, Rami H. was taken to the Istanbul Counter-Terrorism Branch for questioning, where he was resolved during cross-examination. The ISIS member, who admitted his crime, had digital materials seized from him that included video visuals explaining to organization members how to make bombs and missiles from oxygen tanks and water pipes.

HIS CONNECTIONS IN TURKEY ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION

After completing his procedures at the police station, Rami H. was referred to the court, where he was arrested by the judicial authorities and sent to prison. Additionally, it was learned that the connections of the terrorist who entered Turkey are being investigated. The details of when he entered the country, who he contacted, and whether he was seeking to carry out actions will be determined after detailed examinations.
