The reaction to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call for PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan to "come to the TBMM, join the DEM ranks, declare that he has laid down his arms, and proclaim that terrorism has completely ended and the organization has been dissolved" also came from İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu. İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu also gave a quick response to MHP leader Bahçeli's request for the thrown noose, saying, "He should hang my speech, not the rope, in his office. We defend republican values much more than nationalism. The rope is currently unknown where it is; one of the friends may have taken it. If it is found, I will give it to Devlet Bey if he wants."
