Last month, Emirhan Çakal, who performed at the Sunflower Festival in Tekirdağ, was shot in the leg with an air rifle while being lowered from the stage by a crane after the concert. Çakal, who was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery, spoke for the first time. The young singer said, "I felt a hit on my knee, I thought it was paintball. My leg was bleeding, but I didn't feel it. I could only say, 'lower me down.'"

The Sunflower Festival held in Hayrabolu district of Tekirdağ in August was etched in memory due to the bloody attack that took place on stage. 24-year-old rapper Emirhan Çakal was shot in the leg while being lowered by a crane after his stage performance and was hospitalized.

Striking claims about the background of the incident have emerged. According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred after a request for a photo from the audience member F.D. was rejected. After the organization team informed that it would not be appropriate to take a photo with Çakal, F.D. targeted the young artist with an air rifle as he was being taken off the stage. The bullet hit Emirhan Çakal's leg and lodged in the bone. Çakal was immediately taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

After a successful operation, Emirhan Çakal, who regained his health, recounted the terrifying moments he experienced for the first time.

"I COULDN'T MOVE MY LEG"

Months later, breaking his silence, Emirhan Çakal described the details of that night with the following words: "I felt a blow to my knee, but I thought it was a paintball bullet or something. Then I realized it was starting to bleed. At that moment, I could only tell my friends to lower me down. I couldn't move my leg."

"VIDEOS WERE CIRCULATING EVERYWHERE"

Çakal, who was taken into surgery immediately, wanted the incident not to be reported in the media because he had a flight to Los Angeles the next morning: "I wanted to handle it without it being news, but when I woke up in the morning, I was on the agenda of Turkey. Videos were circulating everywhere. I was very upset."

"I DIDN'T RECEIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT BUT I DISTANCED MYSELF"

After staying in the hospital for three days, Emirhan went abroad and experienced both physical and mental recovery. Traveling to Burning Man and New York, Çakal also took a break from social media: "I wanted to gather my thoughts and step back a bit. Social media sharing didn't feel right to me at that time."
