The mother and father who brought their daughters, who won a place at Atatürk University in Erzurum, from Zonguldak Ereğli by car crashed into an irrigation canal 35 kilometers away from the city center. While the father and mother lost their lives in the accident, their daughters were rescued with injuries. PARENTS LOST THEIR LIVESThe accident occurred around 3:00 PM at the junction of the rural Çiğdemli neighborhood in the Aziziye district. The car, which Mustafa Anataca lost control of, flew into the canal and overturned. Passersby noticed the car and called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report it. Upon notification, police, firefighters, AFAD, and medical teams were dispatched to the accident site. In the work carried out by the teams, the lifeless bodies of Mustafa Anataca and his wife Birsen Anataca were found in the car. THEIR DAUGHTER SWAM TO SAFETYThe couple's daughter, Dilay Anataca, who managed to swim to safety on her own, was found about 1 kilometer away from the accident site. Dilay Anataca, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance, was reported to be in good health. THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY TO REGISTER FOR UNIVERSITYMeanwhile, it was determined that the Anataca family, living in Zonguldak, was on their way to register their daughter Dilay, who won a place at Atatürk University.
