Serik Spor Football Inc., which was promoted to the 1st League as the champion of the 2nd League, has faced enforcement proceedings due to the non-payment of installments for its debt to the Social Security Institution.
Last season, Serik Spor Futbol A.Ş. Club, which became the champion in TFF 2nd League and was promoted to the 1st League, was shaken by bad news from SGK.
ENFORCEMENT PROCEEDINGS INITIATED
Enforcement proceedings were initiated against Serik Spor Futbol A.Ş. Club, which competes in TFF 1st League, due to the failure to pay the installments of the debt owed to the Social Security Institution.
According to the information obtained, the debt of Serik Spor Futbol A.Ş. Club to the Social Security Institution had previously been restructured through installment payments. However, due to the failure to pay these installments on time, enforcement proceedings were initiated by the Antalya Social Security Provincial Directorate against a total debt of 20 million. In this context, the club's bank accounts were initially blocked, and notifications were sent to the members of the board of directors from previous and current periods, indicating that enforcement proceedings had been initiated.
ALL DEBTS WERE TO BE PAID WHEN THE CLUB WAS SOLD
In the 2023-2024 football season, Serik Belediye Spor Club was transferred in a protocol led by Antalya businessman Ramazan Karabulut and presided over by Cenk Doğan, with the mayor Kadir Kumbul, former club president İbrahim Şahin, and some managers also included in the sale protocol, in exchange for paying all debts of Serik Belediyespor. During the past season, some debts were paid, and to make transfers during the break, a 'no debt' letter was obtained from the SGK and Tax Office to the Turkish Football Federation, and a vehicle was provided as collateral to the SGK institution by businessman Ramazan Karabulut for the restructuring of the debts. Currently, this vehicle has been reported lost, and recently, businessman Ramazan Karabulut declared bankruptcy and filed for concordat, which was accepted.
THE CLUB WAS SOLD TO ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE SECOND TIME
Serik Belediye Spor, which became the champion in the 2nd League and started to rise to TFF 1st League, was purchased at the beginning of the season by Azerbaijani businessman Sadık Hasanlı and changed its name to Serik Spor Futbol A.Ş., starting to compete in the 2025-2026 season.
REACTION FROM OLD AND NEW MANAGERS
Managers who experienced the joy of being promoted to the 1st League expressed their disappointment when the enforcement notification arrived due to the debts to SGK from the previous period, stating, "The individuals who bought the club were supposed to pay all debts and continue to manage the club. However, since the promises made were not kept, we all experienced an enforcement shock due to the debts to SGK. We voluntarily take on roles in our club. Those who buy, sell, and profit will stay behind, and we will be the ones who suffer due to the SGK debt. There is no such world. We expect the businessmen responsible for this issue to resolve it as soon as possible."
