The letter that Samet Aybaba wrote to Hasan Arat has emerged.

01.12.2024 16:00

A letter written by Samet Aybaba, who has stepped down from his position as the Coordinator of Football Teams at Beşiktaş, has come to light. In the letter, Aybaba uses strong language, stating, "The people who should prepare the report are Kaan Şakul, who is trying to manage Professional Football, transfers, and the long arms of Ümraniye starting from the new season, and Brad Friedel, who is likely to be the pawn he uses today as a cover for the mistakes he will probably make in the future."

The letter written by Samet Aybaba, who left his position as the Coordinator of Football Teams in Beşiktaş, to Hasan Arat has emerged. It was noted that Aybaba used quite harsh expressions for Kaan Şakul and Brad Friedel in the letter he wrote to Hasan Arat on November 20, 2024.

Here is the letter Samet Aybaba wrote to Hasan Arat;

"As we did before, I was planning to write a regular report at the end of the transfer period. However, at this point, I think it would be more appropriate to write a sincere letter rather than a report. Because, given the current situation of the team, the authority that should prepare the report is no longer the General Coordinator of Football.

"PAWN BRAD FRIEDEL"

We are not avoiding responsibility. However, we are not the ones responsible for many issues that we call WRONG and have fought against, as well as the negative picture that has emerged at this point. The people who should prepare the report are Kaan Şakul, who is trying to manage Professional Football, transfers, and the long arms of Ümraniye starting from the new season, and Brad Friedel, who will likely use the pawn he has placed today as a curtain to deflect the mistakes he will make in the future.

"OUT OF TOUCH FORMER BANKER"

Please request a report from them regarding the current situation, as you have asked us. It will be more enlightening for the Beşiktaş community regarding the recent period, just as it would be for us. As you know, I have been serving Turkish football for over 50 years, and I have held various positions in our club, such as player and head coach. In the role I undertook during this period, my expectation was to share all my knowledge and experience with my club at the most mature stage of my career. The phrase you frequently used during your election process, "Beşiktaş will be managed by Beşiktaşlilar," was fundamentally something that excited me a lot, and I thought it would be a harbinger of a long and successful period, not only for our club but also as an exemplary model in Turkish football. However, at this point, I realized that this phrase was not backed by substance. As you stated, I am witnessing that Beşiktaş is being attempted to be managed not by professionals from the field, but by an out-of-touch former banker and the pawn he has placed in Ümraniye.

When you said Brad would only sell players, and to throw him out of Ümraniye by his ear, I smiled at you. Is there a single player he can sell? All players were sent away in very wrong ways after their payments were made. Please take a look at how Brad and Kaan managed the transfer process by asking the relevant friends for information about the mathematics of the job. I often check myself.

"DO WHAT IS NECESSARY!"

If any professional had signed this picture in the history of Turkish football, could they continue their job? If they are continuing, what do you think this would make the public think? I am also really curious, Mr. President. Why did you go through Kaan when we have much more experienced managers in football like Onur Göçmez, who has been responsible for the football branch in previous Beşiktaş administrations, and Mete Vardar, and legendary players like Feyyaz Uçar? At the point where you tried to discredit us by bringing Brad to Ümraniye, moving away from football intelligence, significant mistakes were made, leading to this stage. I do not know why this was done; perhaps I will never learn. But I believe these are the reasons for the situation we are in. I made a promise, and I will not leave anyone halfway. I will never leave Beşiktaş. If needed, I will be waiting to help in Ümraniye. However, if there is a different disposition regarding us, please do what is necessary immediately."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Samet Aybaba had called for the immediate resignation of Board Member Kaan Şakul at the press conference he held the other day. Aybaba claimed that Şakul had a hand in all transfers and that he and Brad Friedel had established an empire in the club.
