The retired non-commissioned officer Fehmettin Saymaz, who donated his body to Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine for the education of medical students, was buried in Ayvalık district of Balıkesir after 11 years in a ceremony. USED AS A CADAVERFehmettin Saymaz, a retired non-commissioned officer living in Bursa, passed away in 2013. Upon his will, Saymaz's body was used as a cadaver to contribute to the education of medical students. HANDED OVER TO HIS BROTHER AND DAUGHTERSUpon the request of his family, Saymaz's body was handed over to his brother Ergin Saymaz (65), his daughters Çiğdem Saymaz Narlı (56) and Semra Kama (58) to be buried after 11 years in a ceremony. ATTENDANCE AT THE FUNERAL WAS HIGHSaymaz, who was brought to Ayvalık where his daughter lives, was buried in the district cemetery after a ceremony attended by his family, relatives, the administrators and members of the Bureau Workers Union Balıkesir Branch, Ayvalık Courthouse employees, teachers, and local people.
