HE STOPPED TO PAY RESPECT UPON HEARING THE NATIONAL ANTHEMYiğit Eymen Kera, a 3rd-grade student at Bingöl Şehit Er Özkan Dumlu Primary School, stopped to pay respect when he heard the National Anthem being sung at a school while returning home after buying bread. The moment was recorded by those around him using a mobile phone camera. THE POLICE CHIEF GIFTED A COMPUTER AND A TURKISH FLAGAfter watching the footage, Provincial Police Chief Şükrü Orhan visited the Kera family. Orhan presented Yiğit Eymen with a computer and a Turkish flag. Yiğit Eymen Kera thanked Police Chief Orhan, saying, "I had just bought my bread and was going home. When I heard the National Anthem being sung at the school, I stopped on the road and recited the National Anthem." "IT FILLED US WITH PRIDE"Provincial Police Chief Orhan stated that he felt proud when he watched the footage, saying, "There were people passing by Yiğit while the National Anthem was being sung. To see such a child who is so aware of national and spiritual values and reacts to them filled our hearts with pride. We immediately wanted to hug him and congratulate his family. Our child, raised with such awareness and upbringing, is one of the beautiful young people to whom we will entrust our future. God bless him, may Allah protect him from the evil eye. Hopefully, his character continues like this. When he grows up, may he raise moral and beautiful generations who are aware of their national and spiritual values, just like him," he said. HIS GRANDFATHER WAS MARTYRED IN A PKK ATTACKMother Hasret Kera expressed their pride in their son's commitment to national values, stating that Yiğit Eymen's grandfather Nihat and his great-grandfather Yusuf Kebude were martyred in an attack by PKK terrorists in 1993 in the village of Çavuşlar in Bingöl. HE TOOK HIM TO SCHOOL IN A OFFICIAL VEHICLEAfter the visit, Provincial Police Chief Orhan took Yiğit Eymen to Şehit Er Özkan Dumlu Primary School in an official vehicle and presented him with a Turkish flag in his classroom. Yiğit Eymen watched the moments when he paid respect with his friends. Provincial Director of National Education Mustafa Özel also congratulated Yiğit Eymen in his classroom.
