In a mosque in the Selangor state of Malaysia, a 19-year-old suspect attempted to abduct a young girl from among women who were praying. The incident, recorded by security cameras, shows the suspect lifting the girl and running back to the office. As the girl resisted, the attacker tried to flee but was caught by the police. Local police stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and that the suspect did not know the victim.
The security cameras of a mosque in Batang Kali, located in the Selangor state of Malaysia, recorded the horrifying actions of a 19-year-old suspect who was later captured by the police.
In the chilling footage, the suspect, wearing a yellow t-shirt, is seen running out of an office and behind a line of women who are praying.
While all the women are in a state of prostration, the suspect is seen lifting a little girl who appears to be no older than 10 years.
The sick-minded kidnapper is then seen running back to the office with the struggling girl in his arms.
Throughout all this, the praying women are seen continuing their worship without interruption.
Another security camera later captures the horrifying moment when the young attacker appears to be trying to pull the girl's pants down.
The girl is seen crying out loudly as she desperately struggles against the attacker.
After a few seconds of struggle, the attacker suddenly seems to flee, likely to avoid capture.
The clip ends with the terrified victim hobbling out of the room, pulling up her pants in tears and holding her stomach.
Local police chief Inspector Ahmad Faizal Tahrim stated that they identified and arrested the young man the next day and held him in custody for seven days.
Tahrim said, "We have arrested the suspect. Investigations are ongoing. Initial inquiries show that the man involved in the incident did not know the victim."
Some reports indicated that the young man had a disability, but the police stated that they were not aware of this according to local media.
