In the capital city of Damascus, where Bashar al-Assad's regime has lost control in Syria, prisoners were released from Sednaya Prison, which is associated with the regime and known for its torture. A machine used for executing prisoners in the prison once again revealed the horrific face of the Assad regime.

In Syria, prisoners from the Sednaya Prison, known for its association with the regime and its torture practices, were rescued by opposition forces. The torture devices found in Sednaya Prison, a large military prison located in the outskirts of Damascus and responsible for the torture and deaths of thousands of Syrian civilians, were horrifying.

IRON EXECUTION PRESS

The torture devices in the torture prison Sednaya were captured on camera. Human rights groups have stated that the prison has been used since 2011 for the killing, torture, and disappearance of civilians. It was learned that prisoners executed with the iron execution press found in the prison had their bodies flattened by being placed in the presses, with their bodies and bones crushed into molds. It was reported that the remains were placed in a bag and thrown outside the prison through blood channels under the press.

IT WAS A TORTURE CENTER OF THE ASSAD REGIME

Sednaya Prison is known as the center of the torture inflicted by the Assad regime on the civilian population and is also referred to as the "Human Slaughterhouse." It is known that the prison consists of seven floors that extend meters underground, with the spaces between these floors sealed with concrete. After the fall of the Assad regime, Syrian opposition forces rescued thousands of prisoners who had been tortured by the Assad regime from the underground section of the prison. It was reported that thousands of people still remain in the floors and that efforts are ongoing to open the second floor. According to sources in Damascus, it was stated that prisoners were trying to survive in the seven underground layers of Sednaya prison without water and food, and that regime forces were attempting to make it impossible to access the underground sections by sealing the entrances to the layers with concrete. It was said that at least 70,000 prisoners were waiting for help in the prison.
