It has been learned that 42-year-old Erhan Önala, who shot and killed his wife in the garden of Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital in Bakırköy, Istanbul, and then committed suicide with the same gun, had 22 criminal records for drug use. The investigation revealed that there were no current restraining or protection orders between Önala and his wife, who worked as a laborer in construction sites.

In Istanbul, a chilling incident occurred around 1:20 PM in the garden of Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital.

POLICE WERE NOTIFIED

At the time of the incident, it was reported to the police that "A man shot a woman and himself, they are lying on the ground." Following this report, police teams went to the scene. In the wooded area of the garden, police teams found a woman and a man lifeless on the ground. Initial investigations revealed that the man had committed suicide after killing the woman. A blank-firing gun and three 9 mm cartridges used in the incident were found next to the suspect.

IDENTITIES CONFIRMED

In the investigation, the suspect was identified as 42-year-old Erhan Önala, and the murdered woman was identified as his 37-year-old wife, Berivan Önala. It was learned that the couple had married in 2005 and had two children.

DRUG RECORD FOUND

In the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect Erhan Önala had worked as a laborer in construction and had 22 criminal records for drug use. The investigation found that there were no current restraining or protection orders against him. A comprehensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.
