The man who shot his fiancée in Kırıkkale committed suicide.

The incident occurred in the entrance floor of a three-story apartment building located on 466th Street in Çalılıöz neighborhood in the evening hours. Bahattin Ünlüer started arguing with his fiancée Esra E. as he was going home. As the argument escalated, Bahattin Ünlüer shot Esra E. with the gun he had, injuring her. The suspect fled by stealing a commercial taxi nearby the crime scene. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured woman was taken to Kırıkkale University Medical Faculty Hospital after the first intervention by the health teams. It was learned that the condition of the woman receiving treatment was serious.

COMMITTED SUICIDE

Teams identified the taxi stolen by the suspect who fled the scene and began to follow the vehicle. Ünlüer got out of the taxi near Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard Point Park and started to flee on foot. When Ünlüer arrived at Point Park, he pressed the gun he used to injure his fiancée to his head and fired. Bahattin Ünlüer, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance, lost his life despite all the doctors' interventions. The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
