As a result of an accident during shooting training in Tunceli, police officer Yiğit Can Yiğit was martyred. The sad news reached Yiğit's family in Adana.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that police officer Yiğit Can Yiğit, who was injured in Tunceli, has died in the hospital to which he was taken.

Minister Yerlikaya stated on his social media account, "Police Officer Yiğit Can Yiğit, who was serving in the Tunceli Special Operations Branch, was injured as a result of a tragic accident during shooting training and, despite all interventions in the hospital, could not be saved and has become a martyr."

POLICE PERSONNEL CALMED THE MOTHER AND FATHER

The news of the martyrdom of police officer Yiğit Can Yiğit, who served in the Tunceli Police Department Special Operations Branch, was delivered to his family living in the Ceyhan district of Adana by District Governor Ramazan Kurtyemez and officials. Police personnel calmed his father Mehmet (68) and mother Meryem Yiğit (67), who received the sad news. Turkish flags were hung at the martyr's family home and street.

The funeral of martyr Yiğit Can Yiğit, who was married to Ilknur Yiğit, will be brought to Ceyhan by helicopter tomorrow for burial after a ceremony to be held at the Tunceli Police Department Special Operations Branch.
