As winter and cold weather continue to make their presence felt across the country, meteorology experts have provided a date for the long-awaited snowfall. Experts stated that the precipitation, which will begin in the Marmara region on Saturday afternoon, will continue until Tuesday. They commented, "Snowfall may be observed in Anatolia in the middle of the week."

As we enter the winter months, temperatures continue to hover around seasonal norms. Many cities are eagerly awaiting the rainy weather. However, the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has delivered some bad news.

MGM reported that no precipitation is expected across the country today, while indicating that the northern regions will be partly cloudy, and other areas will be mostly clear with few clouds. It is also expected that there will be patches of fog and mist in the northern and inland areas during the morning and night hours.

INDICATED NEXT WEEK

Meteorology expert Orhan Şen announced the weekly weather forecast via his X account. Şen pointed to next week, sharing where rain and snow are expected. He stated, "There is no precipitation in the country today and tomorrow. Light rain is coming to Marmara on Saturday afternoon. It will continue on Sunday and Monday. Rain is expected in Central Anatolia, the Mediterranean, and Southeastern Anatolia on Sunday and Monday. Snowfall may occur in Anatolia in the middle of the week, and temperatures across the country are expected to rise by 2-3 degrees today and tomorrow."
