The MHP deputy referred to the terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan as "Sir"! He realized his mistake and corrected it.

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Afyonkarahisar Provincial Presidency organized a program that MHP Afyonkarahisar Member of Parliament Mehmet Taytak also attended.

In the program he attended, Taytak, who made evaluations regarding the process initiated by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, made a notable gaffe in his speech. He stated that it was not important whether their votes increased or decreased, and that their aim was to end terrorism, referring to the terrorist organization leader Öcalan as "Sir" in his speech.

Speaking about the Imralı process, Taytak said: "We want blood not to be shed in this country. No mother should shed tears. Beyond that, the Nationalist Movement Party has no other understanding or thought. It was fitting for us to act. Our esteemed General President put his body under the stone.

Taytak, while speaking about the process, stated, "Abdullah Öcalan sir will definitely make his statement."

Realizing his mistake, Taytak later made a correction. He said, "I misspoke there. For us, Abdullah Öcalan is the head of terrorists."
