Minister of National Defense Güler: 'We will continue to leave the ambitions of the traitors unfulfilled'

"OUR POWER IS EVEN GREATER TO AVENGE OUR CHILDREN"

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler made the following statement:

"I greet all the valuable personnel of our TUSAŞ and the precious employees of our defense industry with respect. Unfortunately, yesterday, a cowardly and dishonorable attack was carried out against the facilities of our TUSAŞ, one of the leading organizations of the Turkish defense industry. I once again condemn this heinous attack targeting the peace of our country and nation, and I wish God's mercy upon our martyrs, urgent healing for our wounded, and my condolences to the precious families of our martyrs and our noble nation. Our pain is great, but our power to avenge our children is even greater, and our determination is absolute. This treacherous attack is also a sign of how disturbed the terrorists and their sponsors are by our rising brand, our indigenous and national defense industry, which is the locomotive of our goal of full independence. In our TUSAŞ facilities, valuable and critical projects such as our national combat aircraft Kaan, Hürjet, Hürkuş, Aksungur, and Anka UAVs are being carried out. Systems that are the apple of our defense industry's eye are being produced. Of course, targeting such a critical facility is not a coincidence. We know very well the intentions of the terrorist organizations that are mere tools and the dark forces that guide them. However, let it be remembered that Turkey has never bowed to any threat and will not do so. We will continue to thwart the games of the traitors and leave their ambitions unfulfilled."

Güler continued:

"In the defense industry, we will advance towards our goals for the century of Turkey with more confidence and determination. I sincerely believe that our TUSAŞ and its distinguished personnel will continue to make us proud with their achievements as they have until now. We will always stand by you and all the distinguished members of our defense industry. Do not forget that your determination, hard work, and high effort are among our most important guarantees in the fight against terrorism. Our noble nation can be assured that we will eliminate the malicious forces that threaten the security and peace of our country and people. We will continue our struggle with increasing determination and resolve until the last terrorist is eradicated from this geography. Indeed, last night, our heroic armed forces successfully carried out air operations against terrorist targets in northern Syria and Iraq. A total of 47 terrorist targets, including 29 in Iraq and 18 in northern Syria, were hit with precision, and many terrorists were neutralized. We want everyone to know that all facilities and activities of terrorist organizations will continue to be our legitimate targets, as they have been until now. Our operations will continue resolutely and uncompromisingly. No member of any treacherous terrorist organization, especially the PKK, PYD, and YPG, will escape the grip of our heroic Mehmetçik. On this occasion, I once again wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and urgent healing for our wounded. May their precious families and our noble nation be consoled. I greet you all once again with respect."

Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Commander of the Naval Forces, and General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Commander of the Land Forces, also attended the visit, where Haluk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of SAHA Istanbul, stated that SAHA EXPO would continue as planned and that there would be no changes in the fair schedule.
