ECONOMIC OUTREACH FROM TURKEY TO THE USA
According to information obtained from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Şimşek will begin his contacts in the USA today, accompanied by Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan. During his program, Şimşek will participate in official events and investor meetings, conducting bilateral talks, and will attend approximately 50 meetings throughout his visit to the USA. Minister Şimşek will participate in the World Bank Development Committee meeting following the two-day G20 meetings. He will meet with US Treasury Secretary Yellen and Pakistan's Finance Minister Aurangzeb, as well as gather with other counterparts during the G20 meetings.
WILL MEET WITH ECONOMIC POWERS
Şimşek will also meet with the presidents and senior management of multilateral development banks, holding meetings with World Bank President Ajay Banga, Asian Development Bank Presidential Candidate Masato Kanda, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency Nobumitsu Hayashi, President of the European Council Development Bank Carlo Monticelli, President of the Islamic Development Bank Muhammad Al Jasser, and top executives of the International Finance Corporation. Minister Şimşek will also meet with IMF President Kristalina Georgieva and First Deputy Managing Director Gita Gopinath. As part of his contacts in the USA, Şimşek will participate in investor meetings and will make presentations at large-scale investor seminars with leading investment banks such as BBVA, JP Morgan, BoFA, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered, and Barclays.

Minister Şimşek will also meet with the country's leading think tanks. He will make a detailed presentation regarding the Turkish economy at the Hutchins Center, one of the most important research centers of the Brookings Institution, and will hold meetings with academics and economists closely following Turkey at the Atlantic Council and the International Finance Institute.
