The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has added new items to the list of foods that pose a risk to human health. Active pharmaceutical ingredients were found in chocolate and cocoa products as well as in non-alcoholic beverages, and equine meat was detected in sausage instead of meat.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues its investigations against those who endanger public health with counterfeit and adulterated products.

By meticulously examining samples in a laboratory environment, it is checked whether the products sold comply with the standards, and those that do not are exposed.

CHOCOLATE AND COCOA PRODUCTS STAND OUT

Recent inspections have revealed products that pose a risk to health. The fact that substances sold as sexual performance products at the front of cash registers endanger health has come to the forefront.

Active pharmaceutical ingredients were found in chocolate and cocoa products and non-alcoholic beverages, while horse meat was detected instead of meat in sausages.

In products confirmed to be counterfeit or adulterated, an unidentified foreign substance was found in red sweet powdered pepper, starch in cheese, and vegetable oil instead of butter.
