The fact that substances sold as sexual performance products at the front of cash registers endanger health has come to the forefront. Active pharmaceutical ingredients were found in chocolate and cocoa products and non-alcoholic beverages, while horse meat was detected instead of meat in sausages. In products confirmed to be counterfeit or adulterated, an unidentified foreign substance was found in red sweet powdered pepper, starch in cheese, and vegetable oil instead of butter.
